Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or using the Credit Card Number Generator tool (the "Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you are not authorized to use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. Your continued use of the Service following any modifications to these Terms will constitute your acceptance of such changes.

Service Description

The Credit Card Number Generator is a free, browser-based developer utility that generates fictitious credit card numbers using the Luhn algorithm. These numbers conform to the structural and checksum requirements of real card networks (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) but are not associated with any real financial accounts, institutions, or individuals.

The Service is designed exclusively as a software development and quality assurance tool to assist developers in testing payment form validation, UI logic, and related workflows.

Permitted Use

You may use the Service only for the following legitimate purposes:

• Testing and validating payment form fields in software applications during development
• Quality assurance (QA) testing of checkout flows and e-commerce applications
• Demonstrating payment UIs in non-production (sandbox) environments
• Verifying client-side card number validation logic (Luhn checks, prefix detection, length validation)
• Educational purposes related to understanding card number structures and the Luhn algorithm
• Generating placeholder data for mockups, wireframes, and design prototypes

You agree to use the Service in compliance with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations.

Prohibited Activities

You agree that you will NOT use the Service for:

• Attempting to make actual purchases, payments, or financial transactions of any kind
• Committing credit card fraud, identity theft, or any other financial crime
• Bypassing fraud detection systems at payment processors or financial institutions
• Generating numbers to submit to live or production payment systems without authorization
• Any activity that violates applicable laws, including wire fraud, bank fraud, or computer fraud statutes
• Distributing generated numbers for any illegal or unethical purpose
• Reverse engineering, scraping, or automating access to the Service in a manner that causes excessive load
• Misrepresenting generated numbers as real financial data to any third party

Violation of these prohibitions may subject you to civil liability and criminal prosecution under applicable laws including, without limitation, 18 U.S.C. § 1029 (Fraud and related activity in connection with access devices) and equivalent statutes in other jurisdictions.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components
• The generated numbers will satisfy the specific requirements of any particular payment processor, sandbox environment, or testing framework
• The Service will be available at any particular time or location
• Any errors or defects will be corrected

You use the Service entirely at your own risk. The generated numbers are provided for convenience and are not guaranteed to pass all validation logic employed by third-party payment systems.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE OPERATOR OF THIS SERVICE, ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
• Damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service
• Damages arising from unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data
• Any third-party conduct or content

The operator's total cumulative liability to you for any cause of action shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to use the Service in the past twelve months, or (b) fifty US dollars ($50). Because the Service is provided free of charge, this effectively means the operator's liability to you is zero.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion of certain damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you in full.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its code, design, layout, and content (excluding user-generated data), is owned by or licensed to the operator and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service solely for its intended purposes as described in these Terms. This license does not include the right to:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service's source code for commercial distribution
• Remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
• Transfer the license to any third party

The Luhn algorithm itself is a mathematical formula and is in the public domain. Card network names (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) are trademarks of their respective owners. This Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any card network.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, with or without notice, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or any applicable law.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law — shall survive.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts located in the applicable jurisdiction for the resolution of any disputes.

Before initiating any formal dispute, you agree to attempt to resolve the matter informally by contacting us. We will make a good-faith effort to respond within thirty (30) days.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
